They talk to you like an equal, only give practical advice, don’t take it personal if you screw up, will buy you a beer, can swear without embarrassment, tell stories without hidden meanings, and support you unquestionably. I have always enjoyed being called an Uncle and it is done by more people who are not related than by relatives. It is a term of trust.
